Chain stitch



Chain  stitch is one of my favorite stitches . As seen in the above design I have worked this stitch in the outline of the design with one thread . It can also used to fill the design. In this stitch we start by making a straight stitch and wind the thread around the needle before pulling the needle to make the stitch.

At first the thread is fixed on the cloth.Then the needle is inserted at the stating point and brought out at a regular interval .This interval will depend on the size of the chain.Then the thread is wound around the needle.

when we pull out the needle we get a chain.
This pattern is followed in the same procedure to make a series of chain stitches. 

As we repeat the procedure we get a row of beautiful chain stitch.
