Pouch on order

Hi friends ,Been a long time since I posted anything.                                                                               I am glad to tell you that I got a new order for stitching pouches                                    for a customer with kutchwork on it.Here is a glimpse of it.

This is on the other side of the pouch. She wanted her sons's name on it.I will
share the method of stitching this pouch.                                                                         The dimensions are -
The basic cloth 11" by 6" -2 pieces
Lining cloth 11" by 6" -2 pieces
Canvas cloth for stiffness-8" by 4" -2 pieces
A small size zipper  closed on both ends with cloth
A lining cloth for pocket 11" by 12"

As you can see below, the canvas has been stuck by ironing onto the lining cloth and the basic cloth and lining cloth have been joined on the wrong side.

This is how the right side will look.

Now turn the lining cloth in and stitch around the four edges.

Do this for both sides. Then fix the zipper to both the sides of the pouch.

Now for the pocket, double fold the open side of the pocket and stitch along the edge.

Now fold in half and stitch both the sides on the wrong side of the pocket .

This is how the pocket will look when turned inside out.

Now for the last step ,fold the pouch in half keeping right side facing   each other, place the pocket on top and stitch along the free end     Mark the line of stitching if you need  a  particular dimension.

My pouch is 9'long and 5'wide.

There you go,turn the pouch to its right side and you have it.
